The Beauty Boxx isn’t just a beauty supply — it’s a family legacy over 40 years in the making. It all started with Al and Dorothy Kahler — two pioneers with a passion for beauty and community. Our story began in Colorado in the early 1970s as Intermountain Beauty Supply, a small family-run distributor passionate about supporting local salons and stylists.

Built on Family, Grown Through Generations
As the beauty industry evolved, so did we — growing our reach and rebranding as International Beauty Supply. As the business flourished, the next generation — Ken and Vicki Kahler, along with Stan & Doug Kahler — carried the torch forward. During this chapter, we proudly partnered with leading professional brands like Paul Mitchell and Sebastian, building lifelong friendships with industry icons such as Robert Stafford and many others. This era shaped not only our business, but also our lasting commitment to connection, education, and excellence in the beauty community.
2018
The Next Generation
By 2018, a new generation stepped forward, Donovan Kahler, now President of The Beauty Boxx, grew up surrounded by the family’s work ethic and love for the industry. What started as lessons learned in the warehouse became a lifelong commitment to carrying the family vision forward.
With fresh energy and a shared vision, International Beauty Supply transformed into The Beauty Boxx — a name that honored the past while embracing the future of professional beauty. This chapter marked the beginning of something new: a digital-forward, education-driven, and community-centered approach to connecting stylists with the tools they trust most. What began as a small family business had evolved into a thriving network supporting salons and professionals across Colorado and beyond.
